    Have any of you been contacted by any of the national poling company's ?

    I have been called several times in the past few weeks.  I suspect it is because I am black and a registered Republican.   I was raised a Democrat and even served in a public office as a Democrat.


    I became a Reagan Democrat, then a few years later changed my registration so I could vote in the Primary.

          Speaking of unwanted phone calls, when i get a ROBO call I have the best retort.


          When they say things like "Are you on Medicare" or "You have been selected" I tell them "I would like to talk to you but I must hang up and Dial 911, my wife just shot me!"

            For all of the telemarketers (including pollsters) I simply say. "Sorry but I do not own a dog."


            Either they laugh or think I am crazy and then ask for my wife to which I say, "I am sorry she also does not have a dog."


            No one ever calls back.
