The state has enacted several higher tax rates and some new taxes as well because California is going Bankrupt.
Reportedly many tax payers and particularly, those more wealthy tax payers, like those in the movie business, are leaving the state for Nevada and Arizona. At what rate I do not know, but I heard it is in the thousands
