I saw some kind of rodent droppings in my crawl space of my home. I suspected a rat, so I set a trap. I caught one within a day or so. I reset the trap and have been checking it. no more. Is it possible to have only one rat as the problem?

You can have a smart rat running around............

If your trap is perfectly functional, the bait will attract and kill the rodent. Keep it baited and triggered at all times and you'll be rat-free. You may want to set smaller traps for field-mice.
