    I have looked on the web and cannot find anything related to your question the only thing that is mentioned about chips is getting a photo with your dog/cat after chipping with a policeman!

    No, at this point it is not true but here in the states it is something that continues to be discussed. The thing that gets in their way is the US Constitution and the people's right to privacy (which the government just breaks in other ways).
