This is true. A friend of a friend had a Python Snake which he allowed to sleep on his bed, it was off its food so he took it to the Vet. The Vet asked if the snake slept curled up or straight, when he replied that it slept straight beside him he said in that case I have to put it to sleep as it is about to suffercate you at any moment. It was sizing him up ready for the kill.

That is an urban legend
A five or six foot long snake, no matter how thick, is incapable of eating an average sized adult woman.
Snakes don't really 'measure' their food in that way, if they notice something is much too big to eat they don't even think about trying to eat it. While not stupid at all, snakes are very instinct-driven animals and their minds simply don't work like that. If they decide something is food, they attack it immediately. No measuring or calculating necessary.

Hogwash!!!! My python and boa share my bed when it is cold- they like the body heat! Plus, they will tell you that humans smell 'foul' and rodents have a much more tasty aroma!
