Perhaps it needs priming?   Maybe there is a air leak, a split in some of the plumbing to or from the pipe?   If it pumps from a self contained source of water, maybe it is empty?  I would check all fittings to insure that they do not need new gaskets, hence causing leaks allowing water out, and air into the system.  Also, may be good to remove a hose from the pump to see if there is suction on the inlet of the pump, if not, the problem is with the pump.  Does it hum, or get excessively hot?  These may be some ways to troubleshoot, preventing a service call.  If you have a book on this unit, look up info on a replacement pump.  If not go online to Manuals on line, and see if you can locate one, or take the manufactures name from it and go to their site.  Good luck, Bustieone
