      Nothing. It does not need to be kept cool. Some reservoir caps have marks for checking the fluid when hot or cold. It's always best to check the level however when the engine is cold.

        Be carful checking though, you don't want to trap air in the lines, it will need to bleed.. Also look at the color, black is not good.
