Should this Greek athlete be expelled from the Olympics for her racist tweet?

Is this too harsh or quite appropriate?

"Papachristou's tweet was tasteless, inane, tasteless (again) and not at all funny. But does it deserve Olympic banishment? Look, if you have to parse how racist a statement is, then it's already too racist."

It was racist and she got what she deserved, this is the world we live in now,you can't deny what you put out there on twitter or similar popular communication networks.

    "Taken out of context?" NO!

I think it's appropriate.  What she tweeted was a racial slur which is contrary to the spirit of the Olympic Games.

It was both tasteless and ignorant

    and she should be expelled.

    It's sad, but yes.

Sadly, she chose the wrong time for such remarks. Very unprofessional (though the Olympic are for amateurs.....)

    I agree with the decision.
