I was recently camping in northeast michigan and heard a noise i was not familiar with. It was around midnight and the bonfire was going and we were chatting and heard a noise that at first sounded like a person was messing with us. Then we heard it again and it was closer. It was of higher pitch and went higher and lower......possibly could be explained as a wooooo or whooping noise. Any ideas???
I am thinking possibly an owl but if it was then I have never heard this one before.
