What's your cool down treat for hot and muggy summer days or nights?

Something that you might only have when it's really hot outside.

I just got back from the store where I bought some vanilla ice cream for the dogs (lactose free for all you dog lovers how might yell at me, lol) and while in the store there was a display of soda and root beer caught my eye. Now I've not had a root beer float since I was a kid and I remembered how cold it was and how I felt better on a real hot day after having one. So, the root beer came home with me too. My memory was correct. I just had a nice icy cold root beer float and body do I feel cooler. The heat outside it so oppressive. Hot and muggy and sticky and it's night time. Time when we should be cooling off but aren't. I'm very happy with having my root beer float. So what is your happy cool down treat in the summer? Maybe something that brings back memories like mine did?

Snow cones make my tongue, mouth and teeth freeze but don't really do much to cool me down.

I drink hot tea all summer long...even yesterday when it was 103 degrees.

If a want to really go crazy, I switch to a nice cold 7UP!

I also like to make an ice cream sandwich with two digestive

cookies and vanilla ice cream,'cos I can't find the wafers for

making your own sandwich here in Sunny Town. Used to be

able to get 'em across the pond.

I drink hot coffee all summer too but tonight I had to go out in that miserable heat. The a/c in the car and house are great but sometimes you just get so over heated that your insides need to be cooled off. That's what the root beer float did for me :)

In Australia we have a shell bath in the lounge room :)) Air con on lots of ice drink..... :))))

Ice cold beer is good for me after I mow the lawn on a hot day but I'm not really a beer drinker so it's not what I turn to first to cool down otherwise.
Shell bath....can you describe it or have a picture? Does it just have cold water in it to cool off in?

I nearly drowned in one of them after a few too many beers!!I had put it under our Mango tree for shade and was quite happy sharing with a few frogs until, glug

its a shell thet put sand in one side and water in the other ... Lmao Lamb.. they aren't that deep either you need floaties :))))

I'm a Texan so, there is always cold iced tea in the fridge. When I really need to cool off, I wash my hands in cool water being sure to hit the wrist.......
