    3. I want to know how my relative can obtain a disability card so he can use taxis for transport cheaply. He is a pensioner and has been in hospital for 3 months and now has come back to his home (where he lives alone) and can no longer drive his car because his right leg keeps collapsing on him and he has to have a brace on it and walk on a walking frame. He needs to use taxis to go to medical appointments etc. Please advise me as soon as possible.

    He is a pensioner and lives alone.   He has been in hospital for the last 3 months and has just come back to his flat to live.   He can't drive his car because his right leg keeps collapsing on him.   He has to wear a brace on the leg and use a walker to be mobile.   If he can get a disability card so he can obtain discounts on taxis it would be a huge help to him.  His name is John Coss.

      What country are you from??


      In Australia you can get patients transport and that helps you get to appointments , takes you shopping.

        You'll need to contact your State's Dept. of Social Services (Welfare Ofc.), most State's also have Non-emergency Medical Transportation, that's either free or a whole lot cheaper than taxicabs.
