        That's what we did when we were kids. We carried the pocket knives for a reason, pencils being one of those reasons :)

        Depends on what kind of pencil sharpener you have and if you can remove the blade without breaking the pencil sharpener. Also depends on the style blade used. Most people would just buy a new sharpener. They're not that expensive.
