I think evil has many roots, the love of money over the love of others certainly being one of them.

Must be true.  The happiest people on earth live in Costa Rica and they have little money.    Wake up, industrialized world!  Money IS the root of all evil.

money is power and power corrupts most times,when you go around to some of the poorest places on earth you find some of the happiest peoples. 

I agree that for some money means power, some with power are corrupt, for others it avails them the opportunity to assist others, they don't quite get the same acknowledgement or recognition,often nor do they crave it. I don't believe poverty or struggle necessarily brings happiness either.

Yes I believe money is power and give you an advantage over other, then you feel superior, until you corrupt yourself with  plenty of possession.Another way to say is like ( It's lonely being on top).

I have more money than some of my friends and less than other of my friends. I feel neither superior (to the poorer) nor inferior (to the richer). It's all a matter of perspective and what/who is important to a person. I do not "LOVE" the money. I feel honored to have it and I hopefully use it wisely.

The values of a life are the things that one can take with them if they pass away.
