USA goes by standard time or the 12 hour clock, not military time. Only the military uses that time. For most Americans, 17:50:12 EDT might as well be Greek. ;)

0100hrs is 1 oclock in the morning.
1300hrs is 1 oclock in the afternoon.

Excuse me, we are not Yanks and even if we were, Yanks were on the east coast only. Secondly, we tell time our way and not your way, we also drive on the correct side of the road. Thirdly, we are rebels and because of this, we do not have to learn military time :)
