There are basically two different ways to change the generators exercise time and this depends on the model of the generator. First you must verify that the AUTO/ OFF/ MANUAL switch is in the AUTO position.
On older model generators press and hold the SET EXERCISE switch for several seconds at the exact time that you want the generator to come on. The generator will now exercise at this new time.
If your generator is a new style generator with a Digital Controller Panel, the exercise time is set within the programming of the controller. Unlike the older models this can be done any time of the day.
