I don't use Google, they track everything you do. Oh...sorry to bug ya with a techie question but if I download IE9 and don't like it, can I go back to my old one?

No as there is no download link for the old version. Downloading IE9 will update any version existing. Now you may be able to do a system restore to get back the old version but you will lose any other recent downloads too.
