Look into MAP, Medical Assistance Program. In your phone book. Depending on your income, they can help........

Yep. That's what we have. I thought it was nationwide....

If you have income below or at the poverty level in the state you live in, you can apply for medicare for your wife. The new healthcare law, by having to buy insurance will be heavily subsidized by the government.

In 2014,, states have the option, granted by the supreme court to decide wether they want to expand theire Medicaid Program which will be subsidized by 90 % for the first several years by the government.

Obamacare now that the US Supreme Court has OK'd it. You will be forced to buy this "health insurance" whether you can afford it or not. For now, you can still go to a hospital that is funded by the US government and apply for free care as long as your combined incomes are under the poverty line.

You need to change your way of thinking and get the proceedure done no "if & but " and the the good Lord will take care of the rest, that what we call have a little faith.

And if the poor woman dies that's because it is God's will and she will be at peace and in a better place.
What a load of crap, but some people believe this.
Re. Obama care, is this not a fulfilment of FDR's pledge to the American people? Colleen, you deride state-funded health care, but you won't find many people in Europe who would rather have the American system.

I only deride it for the fact that people die while waiting months or even a year/s to get the surgery they need. Waiting for a general appointment can take months.

Facebook, this is the worse answer ever. God does not come down to earth to heal people, nor does he perform magic tricks. Jack's wife can be seen at any hospital that receives funding from the government. This will be any major hospital that is not privatized. God only needs to factor in if you wish to offer a prayer that this man's wife gets the medical help she needs and she can with man's help.

Colleen, your comment applies to the UK NHS in some respects, but here in France a patient can receive State-funded health care without delay.

I'm glad you have a system that works. I know Canada has a long waiting list too with their national healthcare.

Colleen this might interest you. My daughter works in a hospital in the UK that carries out gender reassignments and these ops are paid for by the UK NHS! (Though not without a waiting list)
