    my pay is salaried same amount each month company trying to change it to weekly for my lieu of notice pay this means i have lost money can they do this when my contract is salaried

    i get paid on 28th each month my pay is divided into 12 equal amounts now when i have lieu of notice they changed the goal posts and worked it out on a weekly amount which means i lose approx £175 i do not think this is right.

    Salaried pay is salaried pay, no matter how often they pay you. They can change the amount of pay you receive for salary but they must write up a new contract and you have to sign it in order for the pay change to take effect. Go to your labor board about the pay loss. Demand that they pay you what is due. 

    Depends, is your total amount of compensation for 52 weeks equal to the same total amount that is was for twelve month?


    Lets say your were paid $96,000, for twelve months, at $8,000 and now you are paid $1,847 for  weeks.   That is NOT a pay cut.


    However as a former business owner, it does not make sense to me to pay an employee 52 times, rather than 12 times, because of the simple fact it costs the company far MORE to pay you more often,
