After clicking on Romos' link and nearly gagging... In British Columbia a pregnant woman receives two ultra sounds and one doctor's visit each month where the heart beat is monitored. In the final stage of the pregnancy the mother then sees the doctor once a week until the baby is delivered.

One thing you may want to do while pregnant is stay away from creepy, disturbing and truly terrifying articles, documentaries and videos.

...kind of a genius answer. This would be soooo scary if you were very young and pregnant. I read Rosemary’s Baby one stormy night when my husband was out working late. I was 8 months and truly terrified. Stay away from that one Mrs. Hutto. (Also the video)

A lithopaedian Fetus is fortunately a very very rare:-¬....It IS CALCIFICATION OF A FETUS....Which "Often"..(so rare) can go undiagnosed for many years...until eventually a woman complains re severe abdo pain!!!...It is so rare I wouldn`t lose any sleep over it!!:-¬..I`m not sure how many cases there have actually been...but over the Centuries I believe there have been just a few!:-¬

Thank you, Millie, for defining it. I was wondering thru all the answers what the heck that was. I don't beleive a fetus could be petrified, but any dead organism would be stiff and cold, I guess. Not a very pleasant topic.

Certainly hope you don't, but we aren't the ones who make that diagnosis; an ultrasound would be a good starting point, after you "pass" a pregnancy test.
