If you could buy yourself one very expensive thing today what would it be?

I am reclaiming clay. It is a very messy job. As I was in the thick of this task (which I must go back to, asap) I said out loud, "I really want a Pug Mill".

Pug mills are expensive and I really, really, really want one... Le' Sigh...

Back to the mud.

OOhh Ann..thanks you are SO sweet!...Yep she has multiple fractures to upper arm and a dislocated shoulder that they couldn`t put back in place...She is 90 and positively STOIC...she won`t be seen to let anything get her down:-0 my kids are at my bros..SO i CAN KEEP 24/7 mum watch!!;-)...thanks again honey!vma xxx

@Ann..you are such a sweetheart!!Thank you x a million!....Nope since my lovely Dad died(Married happily 56yrs)!..Two of my bros have moved back in and have the self contained flat on the top floor..they work shifts..the rest of us make sure she`s NEVER in the House alone...although we do try n give her space!;-)..But prone to falls and copd...so someone always close by!...I think she thinks her injuries are far less punishing than the prospect of my living back here...and keeping her under 24 hr guard at all times!!(i wouldn`t wish me on ANYONE)!!!..But we ALL LOVE HER TO BITS ..The hse is ALWAYS full of flowers and chocolates..We just all do our best...she is such a wonderful positive lady!!;-)

Millie, that is the way it always was in my family too.We always took care of of our grandparents and parents.That is the way throughout Europe US. is entirely different. I wish your mom the best. She is lucky to have such wonderful caring children. God bless all of you.

dad59 my heart goes out to all of you...my child is "anticipating" at least 4 major surgeries when she achieves her full size and will be fitted for a back-corset next month to attempt to straighten her extremely twisted spine...just thinking about what this tiny lady must face...it is daunting...I am there with you man. Dad59 and Lindilou; Reading these small snippets of big stories not only breaks my heart but puts so many things in perspective. Life really is a miracle each and every day.
I gave birth to my son at 48. A surprise pregnancy and in spite of what so many people said we decided that we truly wanted a baby and no matter what the outcome, this baby was meant to be.
We have a beautiful healthy son. He is a miracle just as everyone is. The love of our children is the biggest gift and being a parent is the biggest prize.
Thank you both for putting things into perspective.
I am not wishing for a pug mill any more... My wishes are for the both of you and your children.

A nice big Winnebago, however I'd settle for a great pair of boots I saw in town the other day, in fact I'd have the boots.....except hubby was with me and saw the price tag, I may have to go back, and of course tell him they were on sale for half price (he thinks everything costs $30.00 !!!) they were a bit more that but only by another 0.

My youngest son and his wife are like that...bookshelves everywhere. They're moving soon and decided they had to downsize and donate some of their books. It was difficult for my son...he said it was like parting with old friends.
