    3. My 2006 Monte Carlo has 65,000 miles. In drrive, it hesitates changing gears until it warms up. If I use the First, Second , Third manual gears there is no slippage. My mechanis wants to put in a whole new transmission. Has anybody had this problem?

      When you say mechanics, are they transmission specialists or are they your overall garage mechanics? Make sure a certified transmission specialist checks the transmission. Ask if the tranny can be rebuilt rather than having a new one put on.
