Cross country for one season....fell...cracked my tail bone....ouch....all healed after about two years....back to skiing.....uh.....NO!  

Cross Country - Yes.

Down Hill - Sort of.

I can't ski at all, but I've tried several times. Last time out I left the a$$ of my pants on the slope and sprained not one but both ankles. My wife still goes into an uncontrollable laugh every time the word "skiing" comes up.

yep, well I know how it's meant to be done, I didn't miss an opening of the ski season for 15 years, and after a few years of falling down,ploughing through soft snow,getting bruised and battered,I finally got it, you stay in the chalet, with all the wealthy people sipping black Russians and watching all the activity out through a big window near the open fire

Yep. You carry your skis to the top of the hill, slip your toes under the leather strap, ski down the hill, pick up your skis, walk back up the hill ....... Oh, wait ..... They don't do it that way now-a-days.

I can water ski. I also can count on one hand the number of times I've seen snow falling.........

Cross country. Had a few ski- lessons, but never followed through. Used to do a lot of snowmobiling though.
