I don't know a lot on this subject, but my mother suffers dementia, I just accept the "good day, bad day" accept that it does drive me to distraction with the repetition of conversation, questions and behaviors on some days, personally I just try and be patient,reminding her that she may have asked the same thing several times doesn't seem to achieve anything,I don't believe there are any triggers,this is an illness. Try to be patient, I know sometimes it can difficult,perhaps investigate respite facilities near your area
