About 45 km south-west of Cape Tribulation, the Daintree River rises on the western ridges of the coastal ranges and idles northwards before swinging east in the shadows of the McDowall Range and then rushing south-east to enter the Coral Sea at the southern boundary of the Cape Tribulation section. Its higher reaches are accessible only to experienced bushwalkers.>>> For more go to this amazing site here>>>>http://www.australiangeographic.com.au/journal/the-daintree-land-before-time.htm
