ive been snorting pain medication for a few years,id like to stop but the nose pain and headaches are too bad.what do i do ?

I think he has a definite drug problem. Snorting is a definite abuse signal. Be it prescribed or street.....

E.R.will undoubtedly be pissed that you`ve come to them if it`s not an emergency!!:-(...Your GP is the one to refer you for help/rehab..or call one of the many drugslines...I don`t know where you live but in the uk we have drug support call centres for advice..Such as FRANK...Or Drugsline..etc...google the nearest in your area...and I wish you luck..you can do it!!:-)

Millie, around here, the E R doesn't care if you come in for a non-emergency. They're used to it. All the low income people who don't have health insurance do it.

Pain meds can be hard to withdraw from! You need to go to a rehab or Dr. to get professional help getting off of them. Some things, like your headaches can probably be helped during detox. Your nose is going to take some time to heal.

You mean you are addicted to drugs and want to stop using, but the withdrawal symptoms are too difficult for you to handle without help.

GO TO A DOCTOR.
GO TO A REHAB.

You'll be lucky if the cartilage between your nostrils hasn't dissolved.

What would possess you to snort instead of swallowing? You didn't think this might ruin your nose? I never heard of any pain medication that is snorted.
