    How to dispose of mercury ( metal) ?

    I have about 5kg of mercury which I wish to dispose of. Dentists and barometer makers have been banned from using it, so can anyone suggest who might buy it?

         Maybe you can dispose of it at a , recycling centre/for hazardus waste disposal. ?

          Correct, but the recyclers charge £20 per consignment and after I have paid carriage costs the net value is zero or less.
