A search for "height enhancement" produced countless supplement sites.

The following I copied from an internet source after searching "height enhancement surgery":

If you're willing to pay the price (in dollars, in discomfort and in rehabilitation time) you can now grow taller at any age. The concept is pretty simple: A surgeon makes a small incision, inserts a bone saw, cuts each of your lower leg bones in half, and then uses a special device to keep the two bones apart. As the bones heal, they "grow toward" one another - before they connect, they are pulled apart ever so slightly. This continues until about 2 inches of new bone is present. The bones are then permitted to fuse and, presto, you're now 2 inches taller.

If 2 inches isn't enough, the lengthening procedure can then be repeated on your thigh bones. (Now you're 4 inches taller.) In extreme cases, where 6 inches, 8 inches, even up to 12 inches is necessary, the procedure can be repeated until the desired height is reached.

The truth is, most of us only "need" an extra 2 - 4 inches to achieve a height that we feel comfortable with. And going through a major cosmetic limb lengthening surgery to achieve that little bit isn't the most sensible thing in the world to do. It's expensive, there are potential complications, and you'll be "off your feet" for months following each procedure.

It makes sense to consider other alternatives. For instance, why not look at height increasing exercises and supplements instead? If two inches is your goal, and you manage an inch and a half using a natural method, you're going to save yourself a lot of time, money and trouble.

Or, if you want to gain 3 or 4 inches in height, you can actually get that from height increasing shoes. And these days, they look great. Tennis shoes, boots, sandals - they all look "normal" but they give you that boost you're looking for. No, it's not "permanent," but ask yourself this: How often are you not wearing shoes? (When you're sleeping or in the shower, right?)

Bottom line: Don't jump into height surgery without really thinking about it. And if you decide that is what you want, make sure you do a LOT of research first. There are many different types of procedures, the costs vary greatly, and (most importantly) you've got to be careful who does the work.

In the meantime, check out some of the other alternatives for increasing your height. You might find you don't need to go through all that trouble after all.

And if you decide you still want to go through with surgery, HeightSurgery.NET should have some relevant information.
