Power on your screen and pull up an image or web page that will help you decide on an optimum brightness setting. This can be a frequented website or an image that is typical of what is normally displayed on the computer.

Press and hold the "Fn" key on your computer. This small blue button is located between the "Windows" menu button and the "Ctrl" button.

Press the right arrow key. Your screen will brighten one step every time you press the right arrow key.
