Daren, I believe that people do make bad choices. I believe a discretion once, is not a reason to run off to the lawyers office. There are reasons why people cheat, if it's abuse or just being taken for granted, those issues have to be taken into consideration.

I believe your both correct very few people would walk down that avenue without really knowing each other, but time can cause a relationship to deteriate or strengthen.
