I would like to find a who-done-it mystery book that I read over 35 years ago....
The main character was a woman in her 20's and she lived in a boarding house, owned by an elderly woman, who was found dead. The young woman tries to figure out who murdered the woman. Also the elderly woman lived as if she had no money, yet when the house is searched after her death, money is found stuffed in the furniture and hidden in various places. The time the story takes place in perhaps in the 40's and in an industrial city. Please help me find the title so I may purchase the book.
