            I think the car should have been insured. I think you should have been insured. Never drive uninsured. A court can decide what you should pay. I do not have to decide this.

             there was a ditch i didnt see while i was driving and wen i tried to turn the car went staright to the pole

              Sounds like complete front end damage, add to this the body work. $3000.00 is not unreasonable. The average instant market value for a car of that year is $7,500.
