What is the NCUA policy of the death of a Cosigner ?

In February of 2012 My Father cosigned a loan for me at a local CU, then in April My Father passed away, and last Friday the Credit Union repossessed the vehicle that the loan was for, without any written communication and the loan was current at the time, is it legal for the credit union to do this ?

Get a lawyer. I do not believe this is legal. If they want to keep the vehicle, they need to pay you all the money you invested into it.
