All Japanese auto manufactures generally make an effort get their all of their materials and parts made by other Japanese manufactures in Japan or in the US and Canada if possible.
From the steel glass and plastic they use, all the way down to the tires, even if they only assemble parts and vehicles in the US they will use Japanese materials it they can
The Japanese are much smarter in that respect, than Americans, they try to do business with other Japanese corporations, to support their own national economy and businesses to save jobs in Japan
