    i may have misread it but if not is there plans to renew?

      Do you know how many akaQA's there are out there? We're not the only one and we are not linked to all the others.


      Just a thought, this place may just crash and burn if more members here do not learn how to use Google and copy/paste to answer some of the less fun questions. I know you all are looking for the fun easy questions but akaQA is a help site. There's a few who work their a$$e$ off but we can't do it alone. A lot of what you think is hard technical questions are easily answered if you just put the question in your search engine. There's always a site that has the answer. ;)

        Thanks for the reminder. Being guilty of posting answers that aren't always helpful, I have been trying to give a "real" answer when I add the smartass attempt. It made me sick the other day when SOMEONE'S answer to ounces in a cup question was answered with a reference to breasts.(Could have been a kid looking for the answer to a HW question)
        I'm getting fed up with that guy.

        Well I wouldn't worry about it. The date is over a year away. I wait until the week my drivers license expires before I renew it.

        Hopefully I will be more motivated and be making things or more active and  just be checking here to actually HELP. I'll have met or be in off-site contact with more of you and it will all be "OK".

            I will make an effort to follow Colleen good answer/advice while trying to remember that akaQA is mostly a help site.

                      i think colleen`s answer at the top of the page has nailed it,this is a question and answer site but sometimes you log on and its like a chat forum.it makes sense to use the forum as it is meant to be used and hope it is somehow retained.

                        Chatter and discussion is allowed however. The point is to keep people happy and wanting to come back so questions get answered. The people do come back but it's a struggle still to get questions answered as most just want the fun and games chatter. If anyone needs to learn how to copy/paste watch this video >> http://www.wikihow.com/Copy-and-Paste#Video Once you have that down, then just copy and paste the question into your search engine. The sites you see will (most often) have the needed answer.
