    3. I bought a second hand RCA tv and just want to use it to play my dvd player on it. I don't want to hook it up to cable to watch television. I can't seem to get a picture. The volume on the remote works for the tv, but when I start the dvd player I only get a blue screen with the words "tv mono". What am I doing wrong? I don't have a manuel for this tv either.

      See if you can find the TV/AV button on the remote or the TV console.Press this button  you should get your picture.
