All sorts of information appears when one Googles this question and all sorts of sites appear. Not one of those sites pertain to this question. It is my, I hate to say this, guess that type of statistic was not considered important during those particular years.
The Great Depression occured from 1929 to 1939. That event would have impacted raising a child and gathering averages in a monumental sense depending on what part of the world you are basing this question on.
