At the other end of the spectrum, the Southside and Southwest regions had the lowest per capita personal income at $28,772 and $29,492, respectively.
Between 2002 and 2011, Virginia's per capita income (adjusted to 2011 dollars) grew at a rate of 0.95 percent, compared to the national average of 0.63 percent over the same period.
