Unfortunately India values boys more than girls and has so for centuries. Thousands of girls are aborted each year. India, like China has many more males than females. I doubt this will change in the near future. It might take another century or two.

Even in other country's women have little or no  rights. even in USA and UK woman have rights issues and most country's that want to change thing world wide can't put things right in there own country 

I think you use the word liberal loosely here and I hope you mean equal rights for women. Liberal marriage can mean many things like polygamy or same sex marriage or animal marriage. I am not saying all liberals want this but this can fall under liberal marriage.
