      Depends on the voltage of the individual button batteries.


      All AA, AAA, C and D batteries produce the same 1.5 V, but at different total amperages


      It is the combination of batteries that raises the total voltage


      I E two batteries = 3 V, three batteries = 4.5 V etc.
