I am always so glad to see you here, C.R. and I agree, many people don't stay in unhappy relationships. It's your choice. I was crushed when my husband left me; I'd have stayed in that miserable situation til my last breath. Being single is far better than being married and miserable.

Rick sorry to see you haven't been happy in years I NEVER rely on someone else to make me happy My Happiness IS an inside job My life took off when I took responsibility for my own feelings (and I stopped boozing and using 30 years ago)Also I set some simple goals put pictures on the wall of me achieving them - and enjoying the daily journey...
It was hard work but well worth the effort

Bob - how right you are but you seem to be so happy now - must have been awful. It is true so many women stay in miserable situations - such a shame, glad you escaped and as I said sure it took it's toll then.
Cannot understand why CR cannot find a partner - he is so sweet - maybe that's why.

CR has some valid reasons for staying where he is, Poppy. My ex chose to leave; I do have some resentment I'd like to get past, and I can't say I'm "happy", but definitely better off psychologically than I was! :D
