You are at a most vulnerable age in America- you can fight in a war and vote...but you cannot legally drink alcohol.

So what?  In the world today, the economy is so poor there are multiple generations living under one roof.  Contribute what you can to your family and home.  Save your money and move out when you can afford to do so.  You are not a failure or loser; you would be stupid to move out just to eat Top Ramen every night and sit in the dark.  Be responsible.  Discuss "rules" with your parents and compromise where you must. RESPECT them (and yourself).
