      I not long had gorgeous tiles put through the house (except for the wet areas and bedrooms)  love them, but now it's getting cold carpet is sounding preferable. I used to have timber floors, they were really nice and not as cold as tile, I may have to invest in some woolly slippers

        Hardflooring (wood) became popular in the UK for a while but carpets are becoming popular again, they are warmer in the cold weather.Tiles are still very popular in kitchens and bathrooms though.

        They say when your feet get cold your whole body gets cold.

        Yes Ed That's why we go to bed in wooley hats and socks in the UK.

        Carpets where I live. It gets pretty darn cold in the winter. Tiles in the kitchen and bathroom.
