    Is it better to be poor and happy than rich and happy?

    I know poor happy people also rich happy people which is the best?

      It all depends on how you define wealth as well as happiness, me personally i'd rather be broke and happy then have the whole world but yet lost my soul..

        I'd love to be rich and happy.  Rich, not so much in the wallet, but with family, friends, opportunities, health, and love.  Secure financially, but I don't need to be rolling in dough. 
        If my sons were happy, healthy, and doing well, I'd be the richest person I know.

            I have been poor and I am now rich and take my word for it - RICH IS BETTER but spiritual values are better still I am at peace with myself and with others and with God

              Yes I agree really Cerberus, although we have a saying in the UK that money can't bye happiness but it can take away a lot of misery.

                My secret to wealth was to decide an exact goal (£1000 a week after tax)then locked away 15 - 20% of my income into high yield compound interest accounts 30 years later I have achieved my goal I am retired and my money works hard for me giving me £1000 a week after tax I enjoyed the journey by finding a job I loved to do, practiced and practiced until I had mastered the job then charged a high fee.I am happy with the woman I love in the place I love to be in and I have God in my life
