    What age does the child have to be to leave with the other parents

    I leave in Oregon and the other parent lives in New Mexico and my son is 16yrs old,can he pick who to live with.

      I am inferring this is a joint custody situation, so I would suggest that, unless there is a court order addressing this question, it is probably better to let the child decide at this age.  (Please note that this is only my personal opinion.)
