      Kinda vague there titti-- What kind of battery? You car battery Nicad?? lead?? Lipo????? There's different procedures.. Lipo's must be charged balanced, nicads have their own chargers, alkaline you can charge but you're not s'posed to..

        It depend on what kind of battery you want to charge, there some that come with there own charger;and so on..
