    i have a Bronco with 220,000 miles .It has 40psi of oil pressure when cold ,but after warm up it drops to 6psi .No tapping noise at idle ,or running

    Have a mechanic check the oil pressure for you. We have a bronco that shows low oil pressure all the time. The gauge is messed up!  A mechanic can tell you if there's a problem.

    This is true. My gauge shows low too. I'm so use to it, that I don't ever look at it anymore.
