I would recommend trying to rebuild the corrupted Windows Media Player library. Try this:
* CLOSE OUT OF ALL APPLICATIONS BEFORE HAND
1. Click START
2. Click 'Run'
3. Type %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\ and press enter
4. There is a folder in that directory called 'Media Player'
5. Rename that folder to Media Player.old
6. Restart your computer and then open Windows Media Player
