A regular pentagon has 5 sides, all the same length. To divide a regular pentagon into 5 equal triangles, use a protractor to measure the angles.

Draw a straight line in the center of an interior angle. Your line will form a  54-degree angle with the side.

Draw the line to just past the center of the  shape. All your lines should intersect in the center of the pentagon.

Divide along your lines. You will have 5 congruent (equal) triangles, then calculate the square feet of any triangle then multiply for the total square feet.
