YOU do not, The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, is the state department  responsible for calculating your rate, based on a set percentage of your past ANNUAL earnings, up to the maximum allowable weekly payment of $573, equal to over $14.30 an hour.  The money comes from the Unemployment taxes paid by employers.

The maximum unemployment benefits allowable in Pennsylvania is $14,898  over the course of 26.  You can then reapply for up to a total of 72 WEEKS.   Back in the day the term was only 90 days, at around $250 a week, with a maximum of 26 weeks..
