    can my UK landlord charge me a late fee

    my landlord has informed me that if I pay late in future she will impose a late payment charge

    then you dont have much choice,if you sign the new lease you need to be on time or not sign and start looking for something else.

    Read your lease, it should tell you if they can.

    i dont think so unless it is in your contract,you need to read you agreement.to avoid it ,try and pay on time.

    No it isn't in my contract,but she says it will be in the next one which I sign in June when the lease is up!

    We have to pay late fees all of the time over here...........(US)..........

    I'm sure it is,, just seems like a "given".....
